We’ve been experimenting with a tool designed to complement the µTorrent UI, and save time by automating repetitive tasks. With apologies to shortcut-haters everywhere, we’d like to introduce BTC.

A lot of you have been asking if there will be a native app for µTorrent on iOS and while we haven’t gotten to that just yet, we do have a way for you to easily receive the benefits of µTorrent Remote right from your iPhone or iPad. Think of it as anywhere access to µTorrent, where you can add/start/stop/monitor downloads, on the go.
A while back we introduced µTorrent Remote for Android which allows users to manage their torrents from their phone. We received a lot of great feedback, but the most popular question was: “When will a fully featured µTorrent Client be available for Android?”
For the past few months our engineers have been hard at work developing a mobile BitTorrent app that is worthy of the name “µTorrent.” In order to live up to our high standards, we knew that the app would need to be fast, lightweight, powerful and better than anything else currently on the market. After months of hard work (and copious amounts of coffee) we are proud to release µTorrent Beta for Android to the Google Play store.
The µTorrent client is one of the most popular applications on the Internet. Hundreds of millions of users are torrenting everyday and many of them are using µTorrent to do so. All of us at BitTorrent realize the importance of our products in the daily lives of our users and want to make sure we do everything we can to protect you.
Today we’re releasing a new prototype through BitTorrent Torque that makes it even easier for you to enjoy your favorite content. OneHash allows you to stream audio and video in the web, directly from a torrent swarm.
Over a decade ago we introduced BitTorrent technology and BitTorrent clients, and the Internet was profoundly changed. This week we are aiming to revolutionize the web once again by integrating the power of BitTorrent with the most familiar experience on a computer: the browser. Today, we are proud to announce the alpha release of BitTorrent Torque.
Greetings, fellow µTorrent users.
Just in time for the 4th of July, we’re releasing µTorrent 3.2.0.
The very, very short version of this post: we’re improving our security to make users even more safe than they were before. Everything is perfectly up to standard now; this is just a proactive move to make things even more secure.
A few weeks ago we rolled out an overhaul to the µTorrent Remote interface for iOS. Check out all of these improvements by navigating over to http://remote.utorrent.com on your mobile device. Go ahead…we’ll wait.
What is µTorrent Remote? It is a super-convenient, easy and secure way to add, remove, start, stop torrents and check your download progress from a mobile device or remote PC. Check your RSS feeds and start downloads while on the go, or use your mobile browser to find torrents, and they will automatically be added to your home µTorrent. If you are new to using µTorrent Remote, you can read the full walk-through after the break.
